Story of Holi and choti Holi: Choti holi is also known as, Holikadahan.B’coz it is celebrated before one day of Holi. This day people do bonfire on street. The legend of this custom the story of Bhakt Prahlad devotee of Lord Vishnu. His father King Hirnyakashyap had announced his kingdom on the earth and ordered to stop the worship of Vishnu. But his son prahlad denied to this order and he was continued his worship to lord Vishnu. The king tried to stop him with lots of fear but he failed. Then, he talked to his sister Holika who can walk under fire and fire can't harm herself. Holika entered into fire with Prahlad and sit there, prahlad was chanting the word "Lord Narayan "and lord Vishnu was there with him always for his safety for his extream devotion, So, Bhakt Prahlad has saved by Lord Vishnu and Holika has burnt .Holi derives from Holika and it is symbolize this victory of good over evil.
The winning over evil of Goodness is celebrated as HOLI Festival.
Some of other story is related to Holi festival to Raslila among Lord Krishna and gopikas. So that Holi festival is also celebrate on brajbhumi (Mathura & Vrindavan) with lots of Rang & Gulal. And on the day of Holi surrounds of brajbhumi sing a song “Holi hai “

Now they go at friends and relatives home enjoyed there holi special dishes, then they play with gulal (DRY colour) & celebrate Holi.it is available in all colours like Red, Yellow, Green etc. again they apply and play with abeer or Gulal and hug each other to Say Happy Holi !! Every person forgets their own prosperity and position and makes others happy to wish, hug and play with gulal. on Holi Festival.At night they dance on holi songs, and take Thandai and bhang with friends and relatives on Holi festival.
